Completion of TACL, Teaching Assistants and Computer-Aided Learning,
a program designed to help the TAs in the German Department at UGA
become more knowledgeable about integrating technology in their own
teaching, e.g., focus on using web-authoring tools to create internet
activities for students, implementation of digital/audio visual equipment
into the classroom and use of video editing software to create short
films. |

Germanic & Slavic Languages at UGA
Fall 2003: Taught two sections of GRMN 2001; an intermediate German
class with an intense focus on grammar, reading, translation of intermediate
texts, composition, and conversation. Spring 2003: Taught two sections
of GRMN 1002; a continuation of GRMN 1001. Fall 2002: Taught one
section of GRMN 1001; an introduction to the fundamentals of German
with a focus on listening, speaking, reading and writing in a cultural
context.

Governor's Honors Program, Valdosta State University, Valdosta, GA
German instructor for 15 German majors and 16 German minors at a residential
summer program for gifted and talented students from various high
schools across Georgia. Classes were student-centered and I acted
as a facilitator for whole class activities and students' individual
research projects.

of my instructional time was spent with secondary schools students
